Elena has 19 years in special education, including work as a resource teacher and learning specialist. She holds a master's degree in special education and believes every kid deserves teachers who actually understand how they learn.

Reading Intervention Specialist
Ioana specializes in dyslexia and reading disorders. She's worked with over 120 students and trained other educators in structured literacy methods. Patient, detail-oriented, and somehow makes phonics fun.

Behavior Consultant
Vlad focuses on functional behavior assessments and positive behavior support plans. He's quiet, observant, and exceptionally good at helping families understand what's driving difficult behaviors.

Our Story
Lake Education began in 2011 when our founder noticed her own child wasn't getting the right support in traditional classrooms. Rather than complain, she decided to fix it. The first year, we worked with nine students in a rented space. Slowly, word spread. Teachers started referring families. Other educators wanted to join our team because they believed in what we were building. Today we serve 47 students and employ 13 specialists across three locations. We've stayed small intentionally. Bigger isn't better when you're talking about individualized education.
